Students Entering Year 11

All Year 11 students study SIX subjects.

All Year 11 students study English and Mathematics to be able to gain NCEA Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy.

Students are strongly encouraged to choose Science.

Choose a back up subject in case there are timetable constraints which mean you cannot get all of your initial choices.

Students are encouraged to take a maximum of two subjects from any one Learning Area. This is to keep options open into Year 12.

If you wish to study Spanish or Te Reo Māori in Year 11 you must have taken it in Year 10; unless, you can prove prior learning to the HoD Spanish or Te Reo Māori.

See Learning Areas for more detailed course information.
