Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Strauss.
This course will be project-based, with the student finding a real-world problem or opportunity which they will research and explore, and then propose a digital solution to it. Students will need to have a good knowledge of programming in order to implement a complex program and manage the design and development of the proposed digital solution.
This course will be assessed using Digital Technologies Achievement standards. The assessment will require students to learn and develop new skills in order to apply them to solving problems. Assessment is a combination of internally and externally assessed standards.
Requirements: While much time is spent developing students' coding projects in class, it is strongly recommended that students have access to a laptop or desktop computer so they can work on them at home as well.
