Open entry and at the HODs discretion. This course is ideal to be taken alongside other L2 Hospitality and/or Food Technology courses although this is not a necessity.
This course will cater for L2 students who are wanting to learn a base of skills suitable for use in the Hospitality industry.
It is an introductory course where students will learn the fundamentals of cafe operations. The course will cover knowledge and skills around basic customer service and different types of menus for a range of hospitality settings. Students will become familiar with various styles of food service and the production of hot and cold beverages.
This course is assessed against unit standards from the Hospitality Industry Training Organisation, Service IQ at L2.
