Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms M. Rowe

In Dance students will study performance styles, developing an understanding of the language of Dance. There will be opportunities to choreograph, as well as perform. Students will participate in 3 public performances, one of which will be as part of the Show Quest competition at Baycourt Theatre. 

Student will be required to complete written tasks alongside their practical projects.

The course is assessed to a range of internal Achievement Standards in Dance, along with an optional external Achievement Standard. Students will be assessed on 20-28 credits.

Required Prior Learning

Entry is subject to HOD approval and dependent on a proven interest in and commitment to Dance. This course is aimed at those students who are interested in Dance, and want to develop their skills, regardless of previous Dance training.
