Course Description

Themes included in this course are Tāonga Pūoro (Māori instruments), Te Whare Pura (weaving harakeke), Manaki Marae (catering on the marae), Mau rākau (Māori martial art), Seafood Māori (gathering and preparation for consumption).

This is a full year Unit Standard course focused on learning about aspects of the Māori world other than learning specifically about te reo Maori, tīkanga, or Māori performing arts.
