Year 10 Digital Technologies - Software Development (Half Year)

Students will learn about key software development concepts that drive our technology-hungry society:

• Computer Programming – learning the basic concepts of how to program a computer to perform tasks. Using Python, a free-to-download and use programming language.  
• Computer science – logic, binary, encryption, computer security, machine learning, compression
• Computational thinking – algorithms, decomposition of complex tasks.
• Web Design - basic Web Design using HTML & CSS

Completing this course will give students a great start for Level 1 Digital Technologies: Software Development.

Developing mobile applications, machine learning, and using data to help in decision-making and problem-solving in many fields of society and business: Software developers, systems analysts, network architects, robotics, web development and game developers.
